Once again, his lyrics hit it home with a mixture of sadness and regret, mingled with hope and the love of home and family.
Jason Isbell's wife, Amanda Shires, who is a songwriter and performer herself, plays fiddle and sings harmony vocals on the album and is currently touring with the band...along with his youngest fan, Mercy Rose, the couple's 18 month old daughter.
Isbell says he enjoys having his little girl on the road with him and dreads the day when that isn't practical any longer.
This album lives up to Isbell's projects to date, but like a truly talented artist, each new work has been just a little bit different. "The Nashville Sound" does not disappoint. He just keeps getting better and better!
